PWHT Tech offers Six zone Microcontroller based multiple Ramp/Soak programmable PID/ On-Off temperature controller cum profile programmer Model PRC-6000 which is designed to improve reliability, accuracy and control of six independent heating zones. It features Ramp and Soak functions(the capability to control the temperature and its rate of change over a predetermined time span). Single and common pattern of 4 ramp/soak steps – (Fixed pattern of 1st pre-heating ramp, 2nd heating ramp, 3rd soaking, and 4th cooling ramp)
common for all six zones, or alternatively each of the six zones can be independently programmed for a 4-step profile and stored in the memory. A facility is provided to run a Common profile for all six zones or a different profile for six independent zones. After the control action runs, the user can reprogram online the ramp rates and soaking temperature. However, once the soak temperature is reached, the user can only change the soak time, but not the soak temperature.

PRC-6000 can also be used as a single set-point control when the ramp/soak profile control is not desired. PRC-6000 accepts six K-type thermocouples and provides outputs in the form of 6 relay contacts in PID or ON/OFF control mode. An extra relay contact is provided to indicate the thermocouple fault condition.

PRC-6000 offers a blue colour graphical LCD to display the temperature of all six zones simultaneously on a single screen. The programmed and running ramp/soak profile can be easily monitored. The front panel keyboard allows programming of ramp/soak profile, PID values, deviation hold values and viewing of various status parameters of all six zones under control. Through keyboard, user can operate each heating zone either in Auto mode or Manual mode in profile mode or in single set point control mode.

Optional Facility: To ON-LINE monitor the temperature profile or behavior of the heating system, an RS-485 serial communication interface can be optionally provided, the same can be connected to the computer. PWHT Tech provides the window based software to program the controller and to view the online behavior of the heating cycle in both graphical and tabular formats. Optionally, an extra RS-485 port can be provided for the Master/Slave programming with a single master and multiple slaves.
